The Central Judicial Collection Agency Centeraal Jusitiseel Incassobureau (CJIB)

The CJIB is the implementing organisation responsible of the Ministry of Justice and Security.

They manage the collection of:

  • Traffic tickets
  • Compensation measures
  • Confiscation orders
  • Penalties and administrative fines such as those of the Inspectorate SZW and the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority
  • Outstanding premiums and final statements from health insurers on behalf of the Central Administration Office Centraal Administratie Kantoor (CAK)

Have you not paid or not paid on time?

Then the CJIB can engage a process-server. Without involving a judge, they can issue a writ of execution, which is given to you by the process-server. This is a letter stating the fine and the amount involved. Just like a court order, the writ of execution can be used by the process-server to seize the property.
